How We Pick What to Recommend
No product on this site pays to be here. Here's exactly how a guide gets made, so you know what you're reading.
1. We only recommend what we'd tell a friend
Every pick starts from a simple question: if a friend in Ghana asked what to buy, what would we actually tell them? Not what's most profitable to recommend — what's genuinely worth their money.
2. We compare real prices, not list prices
Prices shown are checked against what stores are actually charging at the time of writing, not manufacturer suggested prices. Prices in Ghana move often — always confirm the current price before buying.
3. We're upfront about affiliate links
Some links earn us a small commission if you buy through them — clearly marked on every page that has one. It costs you nothing extra, and it never decides which product wins a recommendation. If something isn't good, we say so, commission or not.
4. We revisit guides, not just publish and forget
Ghana's market moves fast — new phone models, stores opening and closing, prices swinging with the cedi. Each guide shows a "last verified" date, and we go back to update pricing and picks rather than leaving old information live.
5. What we're not
We're not a testing lab — we don't run formal benchmarks on every device. Picks are based on published specs, real-world usage patterns, pricing research, and what actually holds up for typical use in Ghana.
